The only problem I see with the sprites is that the nose is missing in some frames. The animation is smooth, but as for how accurate the walk is, I can't say. Sorry if I'm not very helpful.

You have a seriously inflated ego if you think my long and detailed analysis's of sprites are nothing but bullshit and opinions.
Most people who I critique for take my advice and use it to improve because they know that I know what I'm bloody fucking talking about.
you should do it to.

The problems I see here are that the walking animation, while smooth, doesn't match up to the motion of the animal.
It looks like you added the legs in the background as an afterthought, and as a result they don't convey motion believably. Having it so that they move in opposite directions would make it look MUCH more natural.
The body goes stiff during flight, making it seem unrealistic. Straightening the tail out behind the body, lowering the head for a more aerodynamic pose and giving the legs more of a dynamic pose would fix this.

I can barely make out the color scheme. Are there white spots on it's side? They're difficult to perceive, it may be better to simply get rid of them - or to darken them to a very light gray.

All in all the motion is nice and fluid, but you haven't figured out the method of it yet.

eeuuguhrhhbevb The way this things moves rustles my jimmies to no end. It's so... fluid.... Like, uncanny valley level. If I ever saw a real creature walking like that I may very well shit myself.

... ok, Jibblies aside, I got over myself to give this cat a more in depth analysis, and I really gotta as, what program did you use to make this thing?

No transparent background, there's a .8 second delay in several of the frames, and the initial walk cycle goes on for a whopping 69 frames, and there's just no reason for that...

And there are these anomalous spots all over it, both inside and outside the sprite.

It's like... there are so many things wrong with this, I feel bad for having made fun of it. Like I picked on a retarded kid or something.

What is this cat MADE out of? Feather-weight jelly?

@MuhammadIguana: What has this world come to? People take things to personal.
I'm sure those white dots are just from the gif animator. I for one love your criteria.

Reply Devin The rapping plummber, June 2nd, 2012, 6:48 pm

@SilentDusk: Then he should find a program that doesn't compress gif images.

Another thing I just noticed, the back leg's point of attachment never moves.
The rest of the leg shifts into its next frame, but the flank doesnt follow the motion.
That's a bad thing.
